I decided to create a schedule in order to keep track of myself and the deadlines I have to meet. I decided to use TimeToast to create my production plan as it was the most convienent way to make keep up to date with particular part of the project

Evaluation

The strength of my research is kind of debateable. This is because i didn’t necessary pay too much attention or spend to long researching on the internet, this was mainly because the subject matter wasn’t so complex that i to spend too long to get enough. Although i did not do a in depth research, i did do enough, i feel, in order to write a valid article about illegal downloading. My journalistic skills, i think, were quite good. I looked at a few newspaper articles for inspiration, as I fashioned my article to be similar to one you find in a newspaper. I think this method worked for me as i wanted the article to be quite formal. On the other hand i think there is a key element to my article that was missing, quotes. The lack of quotes, or no quotes, in my essay was a major flaw and weakness, and will immediately put my article down, despite how good i think the quality of it is.

The visual part of the project was done on InDesign. I for one have used this program, although i didn’t really spend time to learn how it worked properly. For a first timer i think i picked up the basic fundamentals of the program pretty quickly and i didn’t find myself scratching my head in confusion, which is always a positive thing. Learning how something works is easy, but learning to actually put practise what you do know is the hard part and it where i think my biggest weaknesses lay. I found it just a little bit difficult to transition the things i know into practise.

Audience feedback

I thinks Sarah’s double page looked professional as there were no crazy colour schemes that would have made it look a little juvenile and unprofessional. On the other hand the way its been presented is a little boring with little to no colours. – Abubakar

The quality of Sarah’s newspaper does match what she intended to which was to resemble a newspaper article rather than a magazine. I think the quality of her article is very good and again has a very formal and professional feel to it. In saying this i do think that more pictures could have been used and better quality one as well. Quotes from famous artists would have also been a nice addition. – Kimberley

Looking at the feedback i can say that they were all thing that i was thinking of, but its always to good to get some outside perspective on things as they would show places and things in which you can improve upon.

Looking at the weaknesses of my article, there are things i would like to improve upon such as:

·         Adding Pictures, to make it more eye-catching

·         Quoting artists, in order draw peoples attention

·         Improve on the layout, as i think i spend too much time on the written article

·         Spend more time researching,  this will help me provide a better understanding on the subject matter.
